Terms & Policies

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received at least 8 days prior to the lesson will receive a full refund, minus a $25 admin fee.

Cancellations received 3-7 days prior will receive a 50% refund.

Cancellations within 0-3 days or “no show” will not receive a refund.

We know life can be unpredictable at times and emergencies happen.

We will work with you to reschedule if need be.

Weather

We cannot control the weather (we wish we could!) Sometimes there is inclement weather that will result in a cancelled lesson or clinic. We offer a full credit that may be used at a future date. Credits are for the original participant and cannot be transferred.

Lesson/Clinic Check In

We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes prior to the start of your lesson or clinic. This will give you time to get ready to ride and for us to do a safety inspection of your bike.

Equipment

All clients are required to wear a helmet that meets CPCS standards. Bikes must be fully functioning and in safe, working condition. For mountain bike lessons and clinics, a mountain bike with the intended purpose of riding off road is required. It is highly recommended to have a water bottle on your bike and carry a small pack that holds water, snacks, and other gear (light jacket, spare tube, etc.)

Pedals

Whether you have flat or clipless pedals, both work great, and we welcome both.

Flat pedals are great for learning technique and if you are a brand new rider or haven’t ridden flats before, we do encourage them. Flat pedals allow for a quick foot down if needed during an obstacle, can help build confidence, and offer a large, stable platform.

We love this article “CLIPLESS VS FLAT PEDALS FOR MOUNTAIN BIKING” that details out the pros and cons of both pedal options.

Other Concerns

Mountain biking is a sport with inherent risk. There are always unexpected and unpredictable incidents that can occur with a chance of injury. All clients are required to sign the Rainbow Shred LLC Waiver.

Rainbow Shred Mountain Bike Coaching will provide clients with a safe and suitable working environment, and a qualified, insured coach. Clients are expected to ride within their own riding experience and limits.
